What is National Matcha Day?
National Matcha Day is celebrated each year on May 2nd in the United States. We at Jade Leaf founded National Matcha Day back in 2021, taking our love of matcha to the next level as a celebration of all things matcha. We have some exciting plans for 2024 and you’re invited!
Matcha Day is dedicated to honoring the rich history and culture of matcha, as well as enjoying and appreciating its unique flavors and benefits that matcha brings. This day is widely celebrated each year on May 2nd, traditionally known among tea farmers as Hachiju Hachiya (88th night), the perfect time to begin Spring tea harvest.

How you can get involved in National Matcha Day
Celebrate all things matcha with Jade Leaf, today is the perfect day to try something new.
- Try a new matcha latte recipe, there are lots of ways to try matcha and experiment with different ingredients.

- Introduce a friend, show them your favorite way you have your matcha.
