Jules Reyes

This is a Fall treat your inner child will love: Matcha Dipped Caramel Apples! Enjoy this nostalgic treat with your whole family.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 tsp Culinary Grade Matcha (add more to taste if you'd like a stronger matcha flavor)
  • 6-10 Apples
  • 4 x 5.5 oz bags Werther's Hard Caramels
  • 1 pint Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 11 oz bag White Chocolate Chips
  • Favorite toppings: rainbow sprinkles, coconut flakes, chopped nuts, etc.
  • 5.5 inch Bamboo Skewers
  • Wax paper or parchment paper

Steps

  • Wash your apples and pat dry. Set aside.
  • Melt caramels on your stovetop or in the microwave, here are some helpful tips to keep in mind.
  • Dip apples into the melted caramel. Place on wax or parchment paper to cool. Repeat.
  • Melt your white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl at 30-second intervals. Remove the bowl from the microwave and stir after 30-seconds to prevent burning. Repeat until white chocolate chips are completely melted. Remove from microwave. Sift Culinary Grade Matcha powder into white chocolate, mix until incorporated.
  • Place toppings into small bowls.
  • Dip caramel apples into matcha white chocolate, coat in your favorite toppings. Place on wax or parchment paper to harden. Approximately 1 hour.
  • Once the white chocolate has hardened, you can bite into your treat!
  • Serve and enjoy!
