Iced Vanilla Lavender Matcha Latte

Iced Drinks
Jade Leaf

A new delicious coffee shop favorite you can make at home... one of the prettiest (and tastiest) lattes we've ever seen!

You may have seen the popular iced lavender matcha lattes in coffee shops, well we have a delicious dupe recipe for you at a fraction of the cost with no waiting in line!

You can recreate the cafe experience at home with just few simple ingredients and enjoy a harmonious blend of floral, sweet and umami notes. The richness of matcha, and the floral sweetness of lavender and vanilla compliment each other as ingredients, creating a delightful balance of delicate flavors and aroma.

Preparation time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 1-2 tsp Jade Leaf Barista Edition matcha - our ceremonial grade matcha that's perfect for making cafe creations at home.
  • 2 oz. water
  • 1 tsp. lavender syrup (dried lavender buds work too, we love FGO lavender flowers - Get 20% off FGO 16oz lavender flowers until end of April 2024 using code "jadeleaf" at checkout)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla syrup
  • 8 oz. milk (plant-based or dairy)
  • Ice

Preparation

  • Fill the glass with ice. Add your favorite milk of choice (we used almond milk for this recipe).
  • Add lavender and vanilla syrup to taste, and stir. If you plan to use lavender buds, then use slightly less lavender syrup.
  • Make a matcha shot! Gently shake or whisk 2 oz. water with 1 tsp matcha powder until frothy. If you want to have a little more lavender flavor to your matcha latte, you can add a few dried lavender buds.
  • Layer matcha shot over iced drink.
  • Optional: If you want a true barista experience, you can froth milk and top off with lavender buds for presentation.

Matcha tip: Sifting your matcha before mixing prevents lumps, making it much easier to dissolve when making your matcha shot, giving it a smoother and richer flavor.
