Ingredients:

  • 1oz hibiscus syrup (recipe below)
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • 1 oz tequila
  • Salt, pico de fruita or sugar to rim

How to make hibiscus syrup

  • 2 cups water
  • ½ -¾ cups sugar (depending how sweet you like it)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
  • Fresh ginger slices (optional)
  • ½ cup dried Hibiscus flowers

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, bring water, sugar, cinnamon and ginger to a simmer until the sugar has dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in Hibiscus – allow to steep for at least 5 minutes.
  3. Strain into a bottle and store in the fridge.
