Our favorite day of the year is nearly here!!!
Last year, Jade Leaf declared the first-ever National Matcha Day on May 2nd. Our community's response was so overwhelmingly positive and we had too much fun... so we decided to extend the celebration to an entire week for this 2nd annual holiday.

What is National Matcha Day?
National Matcha Day is a day for matcha lovers across the country to express their love for matcha and their appreciation for the beautiful craft, passion, and culture of Japanese Tea Farmers.
Why May 2nd?
May 2nd is known as Hachiju Hachiya (translating to the "88th Night" which refers to the 88th date of the traditional Japanese calendar). Tea farmers consider Hachiju Hachiya as a favorable date to begin the Spring tea harvest — it seemed natural that all matcha lovers would celebrate their tea farmers' efforts on this momentous day.
