These remarkable women are thriving within a predominantly male dominated industry and we are so grateful that they are sharing their most cherished traditions with us. We hope you adore this collection as much as we do.

Akane Kawaguchi’s grandfather helped transition the Kirishima area of Kagoshima from forestry to tea farming. Now, Akane, her sister, mother, and father tend to the tea garden, using techniques handed down from earlier generations to produce rich, aromatic matcha tea.
